Makon Gauntlets Quest

To start this quest, first do the Pagoda Quest. The Menuki Gauntlets are the only thing that hurts the Makon. After you have done this, visit Shizukai.Mizu who is located just south of the Torii Castle. He will give you a task to perform, which can be sometimes quite obscure and/or hard to figure out. Once you perform this task, you may travel to Shukumei.
In Shukumei, buy a key from the cafe which unlocks the door to the "Valley of Doom". You have to travel through this valley to the far northeast corner. Before climbing to the Makon, it is advisable that you set a recall to the tanner in the cliffs just south of the Makon's lair.
Climb into the Makon area and kill the Makon. When you kill it, recall to the tanner. The Makon's paws will be cut off. Take the paws to the Makon maker just west of the tanner to receive the Makon Gauntlets.
