Torii (Download Hunter for graphical maps) Torii had the main portal complex to all the AG lands. This land was mostly of an oriental theme, and contained parts of the Makon Quest, and the SoL Blacksmith. Upon entering Torii, you found yourself in a portal complex with portals to Shukumei, Annwn and the Rift. Walking north for a bit you'd pass a pit leading down to the Torii mines and further ahead was the town. The town occupied most of the surface's landscape and include Weapon & MA trainers, Magic trainers, Pubs, Armories and other shops. Just to the northwest of town, through the Rice Fields, was the thief guild. Below the thief guild was a rope leading up to an NPC, part of the Makon Gauntlet Quest. Just to the south of the Pub on a small peninsula were the Sword of Light Blacksmith, who would forge the SoL's peices together, and the tailor. Just to the east of this peninsula was a complex containing trainers, shops and vendors. To the north of this buidling was a set of stairs leading to the Torii pagoda. The Pagoda was home to MA trainers, a Knight Trainer, a Wizard Trainer, the Death and Ancestor Shrines, a Thaum trainer and a Gym. In the northern area of the Pagoda, a rope led up to the bell tower. In the central structure of the pagoda was a set of stairs. These stairs led up to MA trainers, who were part of the Menuki Gauntlet Quest. During the quest you could get a pair of Dragon Gauntlets, a Menuki Figurine and a Katana. Nestled just to the west of the SoL Blacksmith is a rope leading up to the Torii Castle and the haunted cliffs. Inside the Castle you would find Willard, a very vicious rat who held the flawless black perl needed for the Pagoda Quest. One the second floor behind a ruined wall is a rope leading to the Makon Quest Starter NPC. To the east of town, was a large ocean with a few small islands. The waters were shark infested (very vicious sharks I might add) and in the far east were some NPCs that would accept the Tiger and Menuki figurines in exchange for either a Masamune Katana or a pair of Menuki Gauntlets. The only dungeon in Torii were the mines. But this one dungeon was more than enough, and was perhaps the most feared dungeon in all of Kesmai. Massive lava flows occupied the eastern part of the mines with the western area full of ogres, Shadows, and invisible ninjas. Hidden deep within the lava flow was the worst and most feared lair critter ever... Thisson! Many adventurers steered far clear of his lair, and with good reason. |
