In this map I have included a method for determining any square in the
segment. Each square can be refered to by 3 numbers: longitude, latitude,
and altitude. Longitude is marked along the bottom of the map, latitude
along the side. The altitude is indicated near the section being shown.
The surface is 0', areas underground are given negative levels, and areas
above ground altitude. (example - The Portal to Kesmai is at 120, 45, 80')

Leng was a strong bastion of the Brotherhood. The Inner circle of Leng had
managed, many years ago, to gain control of the Government of Leng. The
result of this control was that the Brotherhood could freely do business
in Leng, without the need for the secrecy. Anyone who didn't agree with
the government had a habit of mysteriously disappearing (and for some reason
the Drake and the Dragon both seem to be slightly overweight. coincedence?)
A little known fact is that, after the botched attempt at summoning the Dragon
in Kesmai, the few survivors of the Summoning that did manage to escape came
to Leng. There they recovered from thier wounds and started to try and piece
together the remnents of Lore that they still remembered (having lost much of
thier information when the first dragon took over Kesmail.) The Brotherhood
flourished here for many years after, and they again tried to summon a dragon,
still intent on the destruction of the Grand Order of Thaums.
This second attempt was more successful in one regard. The Dragon that was
summoned in Kesmai was one of the lesser dragons. This time, in Leng, they
managed to summon a Great Dragon. Kosh appeared with the summons, and he too
was not very pleased at having his rest disturbed by the brotherhood. This
time, though, none of the brotherhood escaped the wrath of the Dragon, and
Kosh had more than his fill of the brotherhood. After finishing off the
Brotherhood, Kosh flew around and terrorized the countryside, until he found
a cave High in the cliffs of Leng, where he settled down. He has been known
to come out every so often, and people know to hide anytime he does appear.
The Puppet government that the brotherhood controlled was lost and confused for
a time, and anarchy almost completely took hold. But finally an Autocrat, Vlad,
stepped forward and seized the reigns of the government. He had been but an
initiate of the Brotherhood at one time, and had been dismissed for
his failures as a sorcerer. But he knew some of the lore, and this he
shared with an inner circle of the government, in the hopes that someday HE
would be the one to ressurect the Brotherhood. Vlad disappeared one night,
and was never seen again, though it is rumored that he still rules the inner
council from another location in Leng.
Due to the Strong presence of the Brotherhood, Thaums have a very hard time
surviving, and as a result, they had to move the temple completely out of town
to a remote location, and that temple still exists in the far northeast corner
of the Leng Desert. And to this day, thaums are not very well trusted in
the province of Leng, though they seem to be better tolerated than in the past.
Leng town lies on the Western side of a great rift. In the town you will find
many of the familiar shops, with the Wizards hut being Central in the town.
The Wizard, nicknamed "Crazy", is probably one of the most renowned in the land,
and it is he who trains the most Talented of Wizards.
In the SW corner of town is a small throne room. The Queen of Leng (though
she is Queen in name only) sits there, and bemoans the loss of her Daughter,
Ianta. There is rumored to be a great reward to the person who can locate
and bring Ianta back to the Throne Room.
In a Garden atop the Gym, the Sage and Puck reside. Puck is a Ninja of Old,
and if any MA who is worthy were to approach Puck and offer the correct
items, Puck will bestow to that MA Gauntlets of great power.
Sandwyrms, Hyenas, and Manticores roam the Desert plains outside of the city
walls. Sandstorms constantly move across the plains. A great troll guards the
Bridge over the Rift East of town. A Centaur Archer, deadly in Accuracy,
patrols the area outside of the City walls. The Plains are not a safe place
for the unwary traveller.
The Graveyard is located south of Town, behind a great wall. An adventurer
may journey here to have access to the Underworld via a portal that is
located within the graveyard.
South of Town, outside the City Gates, is the Main Locker vault, and across
the sand, is the Dink Blam Cafe. Legend has it that the original Proprieter
met an untimely demise by uttering the phrase "Dink Blam and Dorp it". No
one ever understood the meaning of that phrase, except maybe a few oldtimers,
but the name of the cafe was changed to the Dink Blam as a tribute to the
original Proprieter.
West of town is a shimmering veil. If one holds a red gem with a pulsing core
(many are found on sandwyrms, and have been refered to at times as the
Sandwyrm's heart), one may access the hidden room that lies behind.
In the far Northeast corner of the plains is a pit which leads down to the
hidden temple. The Thaum Trainer there is also among the best to be found,
the fact of his survival is a testimony of that fact. The Confeser ghost
may also be found in the temple.
Near the temple, behind a room of darkness and a secret door, is the Amber
stairwell, named after the Ghodess many years ago, where some claim that
she actually walked the earth for a time as a mortal. The stairwell is
where most adventurers are dropped off when they arrive from the Province
of Kesmai (particularly if they use the Portal that is located in the Kesmai
dungeon). From the stairwell, an adventurer may journey down the stairs to
SandSerpents Passage, or climb (or Jump) into the shark infested waters of
Lac d'Leng, or simply jump to the East to the Surface outside the Dark Tower.
In the Far Southeast corner of the Plains is a small Oasis, and a climb up to
the Stonehenge Portal complex.

From the main Plains level of Leng, one can reach the portal complex, which
is hidden is a small, sandy area 80' above the surface. The Portal complex
is usually guarded by a wight, but is otherwise deserted. This complex will
lead to any of the current Known lands.
Also, the Shimmering Portal on the West side of the Plains (west of Town)
leads to a stable complex. The stables were once used to house horses, though
noone has seen a horse in ages. The stables are maintained by a group of
Hobgoblins, and behind the stables is a secret door leading to some living
quarters.
From the hallway found behind the stables is a Small teleport, which is MA
only, that leads to a small, secret complex where the Ninja train. The Ninja
Master, Shidosha, was once a mighty Ninja warrior, and is in the process now
of training a new generation of the Ninja to terrorize the lands.
Up the Stairs from the Stables is a passage that connects the stables to a
secret stairway behind the Mauseleum.

A - Shidosha, Ninja Master
Several Ninjas roam the walkways.
Many years ago, a rift was formed in Leng. The area of the rift is mostly
uninhabited. At the very bottom of the rift, though, is a super troll that
acts as a guardian to a locked door. Kill this troll to get the key that will
unlock this door, which leads to a portal. The portal will deposit the
adventurer on the Serpent Sea level of Oakvael.

PowerTroll lives down here
High above the level of Leng town lies the ruins of an even older city. The
Dark City was one the capital of Leng, and the government of Leng ruled with
an Iron fist from this location. Many of the Brotherhood had residences
within the town walls, and it was here that Vlad made his bid for rulership
of the new brotherhood.
Roaming the main level of the Dark City are many Spellcasters, who are
fortunately blind in the darkness. On the other hand, there are also many
undead Wraiths that can see perfectly well in the darkness. These wraiths
are rumored to be the restless souls of the Brotherhood members that lived
in the city (and were eventually eaten by Kosh). Thier Karma was so bad that
they were not allowed to leave Praetoseba, so they managed to transport
their souls back as chaotic wraiths.
Along a passage on the North side of the City are several Skeletons and other
undead that guard the entrance to the SandSerpents Lair. The Sandserpent was
a test of the summoning powers of the Brotherhood, and it was allowed to make
a permemant residence in a chamber at the far eastern end of this passage.
The Base of the Dark tower is in the center of the old city. Many of the
passages around the base of the tower are permenantly covered in darkness,
and only those that have Nightvision can see to make their way around. Once
inside the Dark tower, there are numerous forces of chaos to take care of,
and most of them are invisible unless they are next to your position. At the
very top of the tower, Vlad is rumored to still maintain his residence in the
penthouse. With him are several powerful creatures. (This is probably the
absolute toughest area in the Game to attack.) Vlad himself can cast 100+
Death spells without the need of chanting, can strike with tooth and nail for
similar damage, and is rumored to be poisonous with his bite. He may only be
touched by silver weapons.
On the east side of the city is a grand avenue that ends with a Mauseleum to
the North. Within the mauseleum is a statue that guards the crypts contained
within (which is rumored to contain the original body of Vlad, though no one
has ever found it). Also near the Mauseleum is the Presence of Fear, who will
cast a Fear spell on the unwary (and sometimes even the wary) adventurer.
There is a climb south of the Tag range that will lead a higher level of the
cliffs, which is home to some griffins.

Higher still up the cliffs of Leng is the Griffin's Rookery. Here, the
brotherhood bred Griffins to help with guarding the various portals and
other outdoor areas. The griffins that live here are rumored to be some of
the most vicious to be found (except perhaps the Lawful griffin of Axe). Also
on this level are many Hobgoblins and Fighters that have chosen to make their
home in the wilderness.
The Leng chapter of the thieves guild keeps their headquarters on this level.
During the reign of the Brotherhood, Theives were not well liked, and even
today, the regular townsfolk do not tolerate a thief. The fact that Leng
theives are tough is due in part to the fact that they must be able to
survive the journey to and from the guild.
To the North and East of the main plains area is a 100' cliff that leads to
the cave of Kosh. This Dragon is MUCH tougher than Daisy, being able to take
many more hits before falling. Also, he hits much harder than Daisy, and only
the most stout of adventurers even consider going there. Kosh requires a
Blue-Glowing weapon of some sort in order to even penetrate his hide.
From Grim's Folly, if you follow the Amber River east, you will find another
climb to the Highest Level of the cliffs.
On the level are many air drops that lead to the Dungeon complex of Leng. Also
following the Cavern passage on the southern part of the level will eventually
lead to a stairway which was the original entrance to the dungeons.

Air Drops to the Griffin Level
The Dungeons of Leng! One need only mention the name to bring a feeling of
dread most.
The Brotherhood built the dungeons many years ago, both as a place to keep
some of their experiments, and as a place to dump prisoners. The Dungeons
are literally swarming with the creatures of choas, including many of the
more powerful undead. There is even a Wyrm that wanders the area, almost as
powerful as Daisy.
There are even undead casters in the dungeons that have, over the years,
learned how to deal with Theives by NOT automatically retreating to cast
their spells, but instead casting thim up close.
Many treasures may be found within the dungeons, from simple gold and valuable
gems, to potions that will restore Mana to Wizards. DP's may be found here,
and many of the more exotic treasures are just waiting for an adventurer to
come and claim them (if they dare).

High up the cliffs is an area that the Brotherhood used to try and duplicate
the portal effect. If they had succeeded, thier rule many very well have had
no end, and all of the realms would have been covered in darkness. As it is,
a Stonehenge complex is on the level, perhaps waiting for the Ghods to
intervene and make the area alive again.
Many wild creatures roam the woods of this level, including a Tiger. Even
the ducks have turned chaotic (though they are really more of a nuisance than
anything else.
As you arrive on the level to the East (following the Amber River from the
Falls) you will find Dong's hut. Dong is the High MA trainer, and can train
the most advanced Martialartist in the ways of Hand and Foot. to the very
far south is a hut which contains the old Knight trainer, who took to this
very remote hiding place many years ago to avoid the attention of the
townsfolk.
Finally, behind a secret door, is Ianta. She is the princess of Leng, and
an initiate Wizard. She wss captured a long time ago and locked up in a
room on this level. Any that would lead her back to town (and the way is
overloaded with peril) can expect to be well rewarded for their efforts.
On the far West part of the level is a small glacier, ending in a climb that
leads to the cave of the Drake.

Long ago, when the lands were young and the Brotherhood was still mighty,
A drake was summoned in the province of Kesmai. This is the only time that
one of the brotherhoods summonings was recorded as being successful. The
Brotherhood summoned the drake to rid the Island of Kesmai of the Pirate
base that had been stationed there. Once the Drake was finished with the
Pirates, the Brotherhood had him shipped over to Leng, where he went on a
rampage, killing and eating many people (mostly virgins when he could find
them). Finally, growing tired, he looked around until he found a lair deep
in the caverns at the very top of the cliffs.
There, the Drake summoned to him a vast array of minions to guard his
area. Many Minotairs, wearing Dragon Armor, came, and some of them brought
manticoras to assist them. A lich or 2 also came to the summons. Most of
these guardians were set outside the inner chamber, though a few were allowed
to enter into the Drake's presence.
The Drake himself is bigger than the average drake, though his attacks are
roughly the equivilant of the Axe Drake. His size may be due to the fact
that he is always hungry, and therefore tends to eat those that would
dare to disturb his repose.
The forces of chaos are very strong in this area, such that the creatures
will regenerate VERY QUICKLY, and huge zoos have been known to be formed
in the area. The area is so fast with regeneration that one can literally
sit and watch as the creatures regenerate.
